If you enroll in my college-level courses offered at Burroughs High School as a community student: Â
- You MUST attend classes on a daily basis;
- Drop dates and drop procedures DO apply;
- You will not attend classes before the course begins or after it completes;
- You MUST contact Burroughs High School Administration and meet with them regarding your campus presence BEFORE the course begins;
- Your fingerprints will be scanned and cleared as a legal visitor to the campus;
- You will need to purchase parking for the BHS Campus.
If you enroll in my college-level courses at Burroughs High School as a Burroughs Dual Enrollment Student:
- You must enroll in the course at Cerro Coso BEFORE the course starts or within the first few days of class. Â This is a very easy process, and it requires your parent's digital approval and your high school counselor's digital approval. Â Your counselor will also forward a copy of your high school transcripts to the college. We will take care of this in class during the first few days before the actual college-level course starts. Â
- You must meet ALL prerequisites for the course, including GPA, previous high school course grades, and any pre-requisite college courses, or AP test scores. Â You cannot take the course if these prerequisites are not met. Â
- You must attend class. Â The state requires that you be dropped from the course if you are not actively participating in the course. Â Active participation includes attendance.
- You must meet all assignment submission dates. Â Your absence is not an extension of any due dates.
- You must earn a C to pass the course. Â
- Your actions in this course have adult consequences. Â Please make sure that you are prepared to assume the responsibilities as well as the rewards that college-level work offers you. Â
